About Pilates

Pilates is an exercise method which was pioneered by Joseph Pilates. It aims to build on your body's strength and fitness, and improve posture and alignment.

Pilates focuses on the core postural muscles in the body, which provide support for the spine.

The practice can be particularly helpful in alleviating and preventing back pain.

Pilates can also be beneficial in the following areas:

Treatments are available at the clinic with Muriel Burnside, and can be undertaken on an individual or a group basis.
