About Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a medically recognised treatment which can help to overcome injuries and disease. It promotes and optimises the healing of muscular and skeletal injuries, by identifying the cause, restoring normal pain-free movement, and improving the body's own natural healing mechanisms.

Physiotherapy treatment can benefit a variety of conditions, including:

  • musculo-skeletal problems, such as arthritis, swelling and stiffness in the joints, and strained or bruised muscles
  • spinal conditions of degeneration, such as disc prolapses, sciatica, stiff or painful necks, and referred arm and leg pain
  • soft tissue injuries to ligaments, tendons and myofascia
  • gynaecological conditions, including incontinence
  • neurological conditions, including strokes and multiple sclerosis.

While some problems may be caused by specific sport injuries, others may be caused by gardening, housework, and general stresses and strains at home or in the workplace.

All of the clinic's physiotherapists are registered with the Health Professions Council, and are recognised as providers of treatment by most medical insurance companies. All have specialised knowledge and postgraduate experience.

If you are suffering from pain or restricted movement, why not arrange an appointment with us?
